It's made from synthetic, and the elastic straps can also be found on the shoes, but you can't actually feel how soft the leather is. You can only feel how warm it is. It's extremely comfortable and you can tell how well it's been treated.
This is the kind of thing that makes me want to buy a pair of shoes.

If you click on the website, you will notice that ecru International has had its domain name transferred to Ashley Furniture. The company has been around for a while, so I believe their website is still being updated. I wouldn't be surprised if they were still trying to push the “ecru” brand.
