News of Redmi K40 getting certification, not far from launch.

 According to a report, Redmi K40 has got certification with model number M2011K2C. Although the listing has not revealed anything significant, Redmi is expected to work on the 40 Series Qualcomm processor, with the standard model coming with Snapdragon 7 Series chipset and the Pro variant with Snapdragon 8 Series chipset. So far Xiaomi has not shared any information on the Redmi K40 series smartphone.


According to a report by MyDrivers, a Xiaomi phone with model number M2011K2C has been seen in the network access certification, which suggests that the phone will have 5G support. The listing does not provide any further information about the phone. The MyDrivers report states that it is part of the Redmi K40 series and has also stated that the standard variant of the phone may work on Snapdragon 7 Series chipsets and said in rumors that the Redmi K40 Pro may come equipped with Snapdragon 8 Series processors.


Xiaomi has not shared any information about the Redmi K40 series. An earlier report had stated that Redmi's 40 model number will come with SM7350 and will have a Qualcomm chipset, which is believed to be the Snapdragon 775 chipset. Apart from this, it was also reported that Redmi's 40 Pro SM8350 will come with model number and will be given Qualcomm's top-end Snapdragon 875 chipset. A similar pattern was adopted in the Redmi K30 series.


The report also mentioned that the Redmi K40 will be launched in China in the fourth quarter of 2020, while the Redmi K40 Pro will arrive in the first quarter of next year.


The Snapdragon 875 chipset can be introduced on December 1, as Qualcomm also sent an invite for an event on this day. It is possible that the new Snapdragon 7 Series chipset will also be launched at the event.
